Today's youth athletes are tomorrow's champions! As the #1 high school and junior high school participatory sport, track & field, long distance running, and race walking offer a variety of competitive and
fitness opportunities. Youth
events take place in 2-year
age divisions, from 10 &
under through 17-18.
Open events include sports in all five categories – cross country, mountain ultra trail, race walking, road running, and track and field. Competition is open
to men ages 16 - 39, and
women ages 14 - 39.
Masters programs offer a variety of competitive and fitness opportunities in track & field, long distance running, and race walking. Age divisions begin at
age 30 for track & field and race
walking, and at age 40 for long
distance running.
Elite athletes contend for honors in championships across all of our sport's disciplines. In track and field, athletes
qualify for elite status by placing
in the top 24 - 32 nationally for
their event. In other sports,
athletes must place high in
national championships &
be Team USA selections
for int'l competition.
