With ten days to go until the world’s greatest track and field athletes meet once again, Team USATF has announced its full, 151-athlete roster for the World Athletics Championships Oregon22. The first-ever outdoor World Championships to be hosted on US soil will take place July 15-24 at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, marking a major turning point for track and field in the U.S.

This USATF sanctioned meet (22-44-138421) serves as the 2022 USATF San Diego-Imperial Association
Championships as well as a USATF-Sanctioned All-Comers Meet for Youth (including High School),
Paralympic, Open and Masters athletes, even if they are not USATF members. However, to win a San

Diego-Imperial Association Championship medal, the athlete must be a member of the USATF San Diego-
Imperial Association.

World Athletics Championships Oregon22 – April Update

  • The World Athletics Championships Oregon22 will be taking place July 15–24, 2022.

  • This extraordinary showcase will take center stage in the heart and home of the sport of track and field in the U.S.: in Oregon, in Eugene, in Hayward Field at the University of Oregon.
  • It is the first time this event will take place on U.S. soil, presenting an incredible opportunity for the State of Oregon. The three previous host cities for this event were Doha, London, and Beijing. Now, Team USA will take on the world on home soil!
  • The event will feature 2,000 athletes from more than 200 nations. The best track and field athletes in the world will come together in a celebration of diversity, human potential, and athletic achievement.
